Verizon Alltel might be the new name of one of the countries best prepaid cell phone providers. The latest news is that Verizon is looking to buy Alltel for a large sum of money. I have would rather have a prepaid cell phone than one with a contract, and I think Verizon Alltel has a really good prepaid cell phone service.

I don’t know, Its not that I don’t make enough money for a contract, it’s just that I hate being tied down with something for 2 years at a time. I mean what if you are moving from T Mobile to Verizon Alltel? Would it be easier to break your contract, or to just stop buying prepaid cell phone cars and start a prepaid cellphone with Verizon Alltel? That is what I mean, if for some reason the service is bad, at least with a prepaid cellphone you could switch providers without having to pay a lot of money for breaking a contract.

I realize that a contract saves you money compared to just using prepaid cellphone cards, but it’s not about money for people, it’s about how much do you use it. What if you only use a few minutes a month… Would it be worth $80 a month for 500 minutes when you only used it for about 20 minutes? I hope that Verizon Alltel keeps their great prepaid cellphone service when they combine. I think that the quality service of Verizon Alltel is great no matter if you have prepaid cellphones or a contract.
