I am happy that they people that attacked Bijal Joshi were put to life in prison. Many people would want the death penalty, but I am not a supporter of the death penalty. I think that no one should be put to death. Many people would rather be put to death then raped, but I think it is a gift to be alive.
I hope that Bijal Joshi is doing better. I know that nobody can get over being raped, but there is somethings that can help you live your life. Knowing your rapist has been thrown in jail helps, and therapy helps. I wish Bijal Joshi the best in life and hopefully she will be okay.

Bijal Joshi had committed suicide a week after the rape. While it is unfortunate that she is not around, it still is great news that her attackers are in jail. Excellent work by the NGOs, the general public & the media that kept the pressure on.
I don’t think you know that Bijal Joshi committed suicide seven days after the horrible incident because she felt she wasn’t getting justice.
Bijal joshi had committed suicide on jan 7th 2003, 7 days after the incident.
for your information, Bijal Joshi commited sucide after 7-8 days of incident.accused should have been sentenced to death. just can pray for her. Now after verdict her soul may rest in peace.
