Eric Smith was 13 years old when he killed a 4 year old. I don’t know about you, but I knew not to kill people when I was 13. I am not saying he should spend life in jail, but I think he should be in there a few more years. They should make murders something that you can look up as public records so that people can know that he has killed somebody. I mean how many people do you see everyday have killed somebody in their life. I mean I would not be surprised if I had seen a murderer in my life. I wish that you could get an automatic newsletter of public records of murderers in your town just like megan’s law.
I think that it would not be a bad idea to inform you if their is a killer, like Eric Smith, in your town. If there was a system that automatically sent you the criminal public records of people in your area that have created certain crimes, that would be a good idea. Just like Megan’s law, this system would allow people in the area of the criminal to view public records of the person so that they know what they are capable of. If they did that, I would have no problem with them releasing Eric Smith.

after hearing Erik Smith’s story,in his own word’s,I don’t see any reason to ever let him out. Think about it. HE said
1. “I enjoyed killing derrick”
2. Why? “because he was in pain”
3. He wants to study forensic,why? so he won’t get caught.
4. HE thinks HE should get a chance at LIFE. HE did NOT let derrick have a LIFE. DERRICK won’t have KIDS. why should he. HE thinks HE should be FREE to LIVE. HE did NOT let Derrick LIVE.
HE has no remorse about the death LISTEN to him talk. NO remorse. He will kill again if he gets out, and just like when he killed Derrick he’ll put the blame on anything and anyone but HIMSELF. He does not Yet admit He KILLED derrick. He admits he did it but because he was ANGRY, does he think he will never get ANGRY again, does he think NO ONE will ever mention what HE did. until HE admits HE KILLED DERRICK knowing he was taking the life of DERRICK (NO ONE TOOK HIS LIFE!!!!NO ONE STRANGLED HIM,NO ONE TOLD HIM TO KILL DERRICK) NEVER LETTING DERRICK HAVE A LIFE. UNTIL HE ADMITS THAT NO EXCUSES NO BLAME ON ANYONE BUT HIMSELF. Then there should never be thought of letting him out.
HE MUST TAKE RESPONIBILITY FOR WHAT HE DID HE STILL HAS NOT.without taken responibility he has not yet admited to anyone he did wrong. HE needs to take responibility before he can ever be trusted he doesn’t look into his eyes,no remorse.
