Lynd’s Wrongful Death Lawyers are trying to get a stay of execution from the Georgia supreme court, but if he doesn’t stop them, they will be killing William Earl Lynd at 7pm eastern time.
The supreme court has been debating if lethal injection is a cruel and unusual or what I believe, Wrongful Death. If it is not done correctly, the inmate could suffocate to death while still being awake. This would be very uncomfortable and would be similar to the gas chamber which was basically drowning in air.
Since the break, prosecutors are rushing to schedule executions for inmates. I honestly don’t see what the rush is.
There are many people that are against the death penalty in Georgia that will be planning vigils on Tuesday.
Personally, I think that any form of the Death Penalty is cruel and unusual. Well maybe not unusual, but certainly cruel. Why do we need to kill people that are in jail anyways? It is unbelievable that people would even want inmates to be executed, let alone watch it. Maybe I am weird or something but I just don’t get the point. That is why I think that he should call a wrongful death lawyer.
For one, there are many mentally ill inmates on death row that have done really horrible things but really didn’t know what they were doing. I don’t think that anyone should be able to strap somebody down on a bed and kill them while the just lay there helpless.
It is not a very good way to go.
Secondly we all know that there have been all kinds of people executed that are completely innocent. There are even people on death row now that we know are innocent but we can’t even get them to be freed because of how messed up this justice system is.
William Earl Lynd is on death row for killing his girfriend, who was shot in the head but died slowly. They both consumed drugs and alcohol before this happened.
Apparently William Earl Lynd was also molested as a child according to some site I was looking at.
Along with him, Jose Medellin and Earl Wesley Berry are up to be killed in the next few months.
Good luck with the contest. I hope we learn a lot of new things.
