Katherine Harris was the secretary of the state of Florida in 2000, the state that the election basically came down to. A show titled “Recount” on HBO, will depict the role of Katherine Harris in the Election, and how she helped George W. Bush steal the election in 2000. Katherine Harris is being played by Laura Dern, who does a great job portraying Katherine Harris and how she was able to help take the election.

There are many reasons why the election in 2000 turned out strange. Katherine Harris worked hard to not give people enough time to recount the votes. She is just one of the reason why the election got messed up. All over the country, Republicans did their best to make the election unfair. I remember reading a textbook when I was in high school, which was right at the time of the 2000 election, and my friend and I read that the definition of a Despotism is a country that pretends to be a republic, by holding fake elections. This being right at the time of the election, my friend and I laughed and thought that someone must have been thinking about America. I firmly believe that if it were not for Katherine Harris and other people that messed up the election, then this country would not be going into a recession and on the verge of depression.

The HBO Documentary also stars Kevin Spacey, who works against Katherine Harris to try to get a fair recount of votes in the Florida election. Katherine Harris works together with GOP Republicans to try to make it unfair and almost impossible for Al Gore to win the election. Laura Dern plays Katherine Harris in such a way that she looks innocent and that she doesn’t know what she is doing to the election, or that she doesn’t realize that she is being un-patriotic by trying to make the election unfair, but we know deep down inside that she is just scum.

This is a great example of the many horrible things that happened during the 2000 election. We all know deep down inside that Katherine Harris is an evil, horrible witch of a woman that would do anything to win the election. I can’t stand GOP pigs and their worthless crap but I don’t blame them. I blame people like Warren Christopher who didn’t even do anything about it, he let her walk all over them during the election. I hate Katherine Harris, and all of the crap she pulled during the election.
